Fr Maximilian Mizzi 1930-2008, a Maltese Franciscan Conventual, lived for 49 years in Assisi and as from 1960, before the Second Vatican Council, he began work on the ecumenical field with his contacts, conferences and meetings with the other Christian Churches. He also was engaged deeply in inter-religious dialogue with a very good relationship with leaders of the other religions of the world. He travelled all over the world to spread the Spirit of Assisi.
In this book, which are mainly talks that he delivered to Scandinavian groups between 2004-2007, we hear Fr Mizzi speaking of his childhood, his engagements and duties in the Order and his work in the fields of ecumenism and inter-religious dialogue. He then also speaks with great simplicity about various aspects of the Christian life - Prayer, Silence, Peace, Mysticism, etc... A great book of a great human saintly figure of our times!
